2025-2026 school year

4C STEM Club achieved an exceptional result at the Illinois Future City Competition, standing out among 16 competing teams across the state. Through creativity, teamwork, and innovative thinking, the team earned Second Place Overall and received three prestigious awards for their sustainable and forward-looking city design.

 4C STEM Club was proudly recognized by the Village of Buffalo Grove for its outstanding community service, youth leadership, and commitment to youth engagement throughout the 2025–2026 school year. This recognition celebrates the dedication of our student members to making a positive impact in our community through STEM, service, and leadership.

 4C STEM Club initiated the Buffalo Grove STEM Expo 2026 in collaboration with the Buffalo Grove Park District, creating a community platform for young innovators to showcase their STEM projects, share their ideas, and inspire others through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. 

4C STEM Club achieved an outstanding result at the You Be the Solution Challenge National STEM Challenge, competing against talented teams. Through innovation, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills, the team earned Third Place.

The 4C STEM Club proudly received the Groovin’ Buffalo Award from the Village of Buffalo Grove, celebrating our efforts as a leading youth group shaping a bright community future. This award recognizes our members’ passion, commitment, and impact in STEM and community service.

 4C STEM Club was proudly recognized by the Buffalo Grove Park District for its outstanding youth leadership, community service, community engagement, and dedication to creating meaningful STEM opportunities for young learner through school year 2025-26.

 4C STEM Club initiated the Buffalo Grove STEM Empowerment Flag in collaboration with the Village of Buffalo Grove, celebrating and promoting STEM education, youth innovation, leadership, and community engagement throughout our community. 

The 4C STEM Club donated and actively maintains a Free Little Library in our community, encouraging reading, learning, and sharing knowledge. This initiative reflects our commitment to literacy, education, and creating a positive impact for people of all ages.

The 4C STEM Club proudly donated and planted a tree in our community, contributing to a greener environment and promoting sustainability. This initiative reflects our members’ commitment to environmental stewardship and making a positive impact on the world around us.

 4C STEM Club was proudly recognized at the Washington Award Ceremony for its commitment to STEM education, youth leadership, innovation, and community service, celebrating the positive impact our young leaders continue to make in the community. 

  4C STEM Club proudly participated in the Lake County Robotics Challenge, organized by the College of Lake County, where our student team achieved an impressive 100 out of 100 points in the Autonomous Challenge, demonstrating their skills in robotics, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving. 

  4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the College of Lake County to support the Lake County Robotics Competition, contributing to opportunities that encourage students to explore robotics, engineering, innovation, and hands-on STEM learning. 

2024-25 school year

4C STEM Club received Young Buff award from Village of Buffalo Grove and got recognized as the best youth group representing the bright future of our community! This award highlights the hard work, passion, and dedication of our club members who are committed to advancing STEM and making a positive impact!

4C STEM Club proudly donated toward the frames for the District 102 STEM Wall of Fame, helping showcase and honor individuals who inspire excellence in STEM within our community.

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the District 102 Board of Education to support student learning and educational opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in our local community. 

4C STEM Club participated in the 2025 Lake County Robotics Competition organized by the College of Lake County, won 4 awards and $325 in prize money. The team invested over 100 hours of hard work from January to April 2025 leading up to the competition.  


Awards earned:

1st Place – Driver Controlled Shooting Challenge

1st Place – Autonomous Driving Challenge

2nd Place – Driver Controlled Herding Challenge

Special Award – 2025 Robotics Heart Award

 4C STEM Club proudly donated a projector screen to the Buffalo Grove Youth Center, supporting youth programs, educational activities, and community events while helping create an engaging learning environment for young people in our community.

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $300 to the Buffalo Grove Park District to support the planting of a tree at the Buffalo Grove Nature Classroom, reflecting our commitment to environmental sustainability, community service, and creating a greener future for generations to come.

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to Lake County STEM for Girls to support their STEM Day, helping create opportunities for young students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through engaging and hands-on learning experiences.

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the College of Lake County to support the Lake County Maker Faire, helping provide opportunities for students and community members to explore creativity, innovation, hands-on learning, and STEM.

2023-24 school year

4C STEM Club participated in the 2024 Lake County Robotics Competition organized by the College of Lake County, won 3 awards and $100 in prize money. The team invested over 100 hours of hard work from January to April 2024 leading up to the competition.

Special Award – 2024 Robotics Heart Award

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the Buffalo Grove Park District to support the enrichment of the Buffalo Grove Nature Classroom, helping enhance opportunities for environmental education, hands-on learning, and community engagement. 

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the District 102 PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) to support Career Day, helping provide youth in our community with opportunities to explore diverse career paths, connect with professionals, and discover possibilities for their future. 

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the Buffalo Grove Police Department to support the Junior Police Academy, helping provide local youth with an engaging opportunity to learn about public safety, leadership, teamwork, and community service.

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the Buffalo Grove Environmental Action Team to support local environmental initiatives, sustainability efforts, and community education, reinforcing our commitment to protecting the environment and building a greener community.

 4C STEM Club proudly donated $200 to the College of Lake County Foundation to support the Lake County Robotics Competition, helping provide students with opportunities to develop their skills in robotics, engineering, programming, teamwork, and innovation through hands-on STEM experiences. 

4C STEM Club has been recognized by the School District 102 Board of Education for our outstanding achievements and contributions during the 2023–24 school year. We are honored and excited to receive this recognition and look forward to continuing to make an impact in our community!
